マンゴー界のブルノーマース？

若干32歳の若き生産者の育てる魅惑のアップルマンゴー「天空の輝き」。

以前に山梨の仲良しのフレンチレストランに食事に伺った際に料理の付け合わせとして

初めてお目にかかったマンゴー。

マンゴー自体はさほど珍しい果物ではないが、ここ山梨で、それも地元の韮崎、穂坂町で

作っている人がいると聞いまずはビックリ

完熟で芳香、そして濃厚な味わい。ただ果物として甘いだけではなく

旨味や必要最小限の心地よい酸味も備わった逸品マンゴーだった。

そして、「今年もマンゴーの出荷が始まったよ～。興味あったられんらくしてみて」とその友人からLINEをもらい、

すぐにご挨拶と、圃場の見学に行ってきた。

まさかの徒歩１０分圏内のまさにご町内にこのマンゴーはたわわに実をつけていた。

このマンゴーを育てるは守屋紀洋氏。

ちょっとどこかがグラミー受賞歌手　ブルノー　マーズ似の若干32歳。

５年前にもともと家業で危機的状況であったマンゴー農家を引き継いで、

今では、数多くのメディアでも紹介され全国から注文が殺到し、なかなか入手困難なまでに品質向上とブランディングを成功させたヤリ手だった。。

数日後、守屋氏から「今年も収穫期を迎えたので都志見さんにぜひ味を見てほしい」とメールがあり、

「もちろん。」と返信すると飛び切り最高品質のものを持参してやってきた。

この時点で彼の非凡で並々ならぬ情熱と温度を感じるわけだが・・・・。

案の定、おおよそ5時間余りあつーいマンゴー談議に時間を忘れてしまうほど盛り上がった。

半面、彼は中々の苦労人で、「人」としてもとても魅力的な好青年だった。

野心や野望も人一倍持っていて、たった一人で一大マンゴー産地である宮崎マンゴーを打ち負かすのも

時間の問題だろう。

韮崎圃場に関しては、7月の一か月で一年分の出荷が終わってしまうそうで、

もちろん「TSUSHIMI」ではこの「天空の輝き」を使ったマンゴーショートケーキライブをやることにした。

世界中でうちでしかやっていないだろうダイニングからは毎晩お客様の歓喜とため息が聞こえている。

彼の若さと情熱、すでに備わっているポテンシャルでいずれこのマンゴーは海を越えて世界で評価されるまでになるといいよね。

Sure enough, it was so exciting that I forgot the time for the hot mango discussion for about 5 hours.
